For the twentieth consecutive year, awards of the national L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science program “For Women in Science” were presented, and one of this year’s recipients is Nikolina Račić, an employee of the Division of Environmental Hygiene. The national “For Women in Science” program is jointly implemented by L’Oréal Adria and the Croatian Commission for UNESCO at the Ministry of Culture and Media, under the patronage of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts and the Rectors’ Conference of the Republic of Croatia.
The awards were presented to the scientists at a ceremony held on 5 May 2026 at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb by the envoy of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Nina Obuljen Koržinek, Minister of Culture and Media.
On Monday, 11 May, the award recipients appeared on the TV program Dobro jutro Hrvatska, where they shared their experiences and future plans in scientific research.
