A lecture entitled “Air quality in Croatia and the challenges of achieving zero air pollution”, presented by Assoc Prof Gordana Pehnec, was held as part of IMROH’s colloquia section on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.
The presented results included concentrations of pollutants in the air in the period 2018-2022 at selected measuring stations of the State Network and local measuring network of the City of Zagreb, where measurements are carried out by IMROH, with reference to trends, current regulations and proposals of the new Directive and guidelines of the World Health Organization. The research objectives of the EnvironPollutHealth project related to air quality, which can contribute to future strategies for improving air quality, were also presented.
